3 days before Maltby Town Councils meeting where apparently, the applicants for the councillor vacancy will give a short talk about themselves before a vote is taken. Wonder if the full quota of applicants will find the time to attend this Thursday to say their piece openly and honestly.
MTC has stated that councillors not in attendance may not vote so presumably this applies to applicants too.
Mind you, Cllr J Carratt was elected Chair in his absence and there doesnt appear to be a record of him accepting the position, so anything could happen. 16 of the current 17 cllrs believe they are a law unto themselves, and make the rules up as they see fit.
Haven’t seen an agenda yet and neither have some of the cllrs…
