maltbyblogger has not seen either of these applications on the Agendas of Maltby Town Council so sent the following email to the council : Regarding the following planning applications currently with RMBC Ref RB 2012/1004 Ref RB 2012/1007 please provide me with the following 1. dates of the MTC meetings where these applications were discussed 2. a list of MTC Cllrs who attended these meetings 3. a copy of these meetings minutes 4. details of where and when and with whom these applications will be discussed in the future 5. details of how MTC have / intend to inform the residents and businesses of Maltby of the consultation and outcomes of the applications. 6. details of what systems MTC have in place to ensure that the residents and businesses of Maltby are informed of all planning applications concerning Maltby Please acknowledge receipt of this email and respond to the issues as soon as possible. Imagine the surprise when the following was received by return : “These applications were only received by MTC yesterday and therefore have not yet been discussed. Planning applications are discussed at the Full Town Council meetings on the first Thursday of each month and minuted accordingly. As it rare that 2 applications are the same, the answers to the rest of your questions is dependent upon the decisions made at the meeting.” Applications only received yesterday 17th July when the valid dates are 4th July and the 10th July ? And the consultation period already underway starting on the 9th and 10th July ? Is this usual procedure by RMBC that they inform Maltby Town Council of planning applications after the consultation has started ? MTC’s next meeting where they can discuss these plans is 2 weeks from tomorrow … and the consultation period will be finished by then !
Curiouser and curiouser.
