Meeting of the Civic Service Working Party

According to this Agenda there was a meeting on 12th July but minutes are not on the website, though they will be discussed.

It will be interesting to learn how much will be spent on feeding and watering the “guests” in these  times of austerity. 

(maltbyblogger recalls Cllr J Carratt being very vocal about financing this annual shindig for the nobility of Maltby – but that was before he became a councillor …  …)

    wish id known i could have sent kids down to look through the window with their hungry faces, its the little touches like that that make these occasions for the dignitaries.

    • It’s ok Mr Chambers you haven’t missed anything. These meetings are only preparation for the civic service. Will post the date when I find out so you can still send the hungry kids. Usually service at. St Barts
      followed by f ood and drink for which an amount is decided on for the purchase of eatables (including lots of CAKE !) There is usually more than can be eaten even by councillors so maybe the leftovers can be given to the residents of Maltby. Better still- the leftovers could be sold to Maltby folk and MTC can recoup their spending !
