There’s a lot of discussion going on in Rotherham – and elsewhere – about immigration levels and policies. Everyone has an opinion and of course these are wide and varied and usually debate is heated.
Rotherham Borough Council has a motto ‘One Town, One Community’. Whether we agree with this is personal choice, but unfortunately Cllr Roger Stone, Leader of RMBC doesn’t seem to have the same understanding of that statement as the rest of us.
Police and council are trying to tackle the problems of anti social behaviour in Eastwood where there are numerous nationalities and cultures living.
Leader Stone says “The problem is partly because we have ethnic minorities and people from Rotherham , all different cultures living on top of one another. Our children might be going to bed by 8pm, theirs are still up at 10pm playing loud music.”
Our children and their children ? Where’s the one town, one community in that ? Sounds like an ‘us and them’ situation.
Which part of the one community do you belong to – ours or theirs ?

Proof that multi culturalism isn’t working?
