Other Information

Maltby Foodbank is open every Wednesday (from Wed 27th March) between 11am and 1pm. Eligibility is based on local knowledge of need and proof of entitlement e.g. low income, pensioner, mental health needs etc.

Those who need food support will be assisted to the best of our abilities and also sign-posted to other front-line professionals e.g. NHS, RMBC, CAB, social services, DWP, children’s centres, financial inclusion support etc where appropriate.

A more robust referral system based on a voucher entitlement system is currently being discussed with RMBC, NHS Rotherham Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and other partners and will be made available very soon after numerous Welfare Reform changes are implemented on 1st April 2013.

We advise that you ring before planning a visit to check all these details are up to date.”

  1. I do hope Kev is giving his second home increase to the food bank. The rise they are having is NOT the 1% that the people using the foodbank are getting. It’s a bloody disgrace that in 2013 we see USA style welfare in our country. Kevin should hang gis head in shame for being part of a political system that brings people down to this , never mind having the face to open the bloody thing.
In retrospect maybe he could donate a fair wedge of his pay – or even his over inflated expenses to this 1920’s style of welfare.

  2. *his* Sorry for typo – hate this iPad !
