A  phone call to Cllr Paul Lakin, Cabinet Member for Children and Young People at Rotherham Council, this morning was returned promptly. He always returns calls and follows up messages as soon as he can, he says.

Cllr Lakin says that at the Cabinet Meeting yesterday, the 45 day consultation was agreed on but that it can take up to 7 days for the consultation to be in actual progress, 

He said that he would pass on my email address to the appropriate department who can then pass on information directly. I look forward to this.

I suggested that perhaps the details on the RMBC website ought to be amended to state this but apparently this is the way things are done.
