Consideration of complaints about Members of Parliament—adviser required
On 8 April 2014 the Chair of the Committee on Standards announced in the House of Commons that the Committee has decided to examine the current system for consideration of complaints about Members of Parliament, and to consider improvements as required.
The Committee seeks expressions of interest from those with knowledge of disciplinary procedures in other Parliaments and/or professional regulatory regimes who would like to be considered as potential advisers to this inquiry. If you are interested, please contact Eve Samson, the Clerk of the Committee, with a brief CV and description of your qualifications for such a role. The Committee’s email is standards@parliament.uk. The deadline for responses is Friday 30th May.
Don’t know what the pay is, but if it’s not to your liking and you get the job you can just advise that the pay for those on the Commons Select Committee needs increasing.
Good luck with your application.
(Thinking of applying myself but don’t want to put anyone else off, who needs a job more )
