A little surprised that this Labour propaganda leaflet came in an envelope through the post the other day. All I can surmise is that the Labour Party in Rothheerham must be feeling under duress for them to spend hard earned cash (!!??) on postage to people who have absolutely no intention of voting for them.
Not at all surprised at the contents of the letter, though. Apart from this one paragraph:
I know that people in Rother Valley rely on the vital services our NHS provides. That is why Labour will bring in 20,000 more nurses, 8000 more GPs, 5000 more home-care workers and 3000 more midwives to make sure patients get the care they deserve. Unlike UKIP, Labour will invest in and our NHS
the rest of the letter is a diatribe on UKIP and the Tories – but mainly UKIP.
“Nigel Farage was caught saying … That’s UKIP’s vision … UKIP policies would make things harder … UKIP want to tax working families… ” and so it goes on.
This of course, is their usual tactic, here in Rother Valley. Never mind what they have or haven’t done themselves or what they will or won’t do in future. Just slag off the other parties en masse and the electorate will surely see how pure and honest Rotherham Labour Party are.
“If you work hard and play by the rules, you’ll be better off with Labour” says our Kevin.
Yes, right. But which rules do you mean ? The ones that are classed as moral, ethical and honourable by your constituents – or the ones you make up to satisfy your own agenda ?
Interested to hear the views of the electorate, Labour voters or not.
Rothheerham.
